The MSI Optix MAG241C is a budget-friendly curved monitor with strong specs for competitive gaming at 1080p: fast 144 Hz refresh, 1 ms MPRT, FreeSync, and strong contrast. While the VA panel delivering deep blacks and vivid colors is appealing, note there may be some minor ghosting and less crisp text than an IPS display. It’s an excellent pick if you want an immersive, responsive display without breaking the bank.

    This monitor is excellent for gaming thanks to its 144Hz refresh rate, but not the best for creative work. Color calibration was off out of the box, and even after adjusting, it’s not as accurate as an IPS panel. If you’re purely gaming, it’s a great pick. But if you do photo or video editing, look elsewhere.
